Whitney Mongé | Friday, May 29

$22.00

Nashville-based (and Seattle-raised) Whitney Mongé is bringing her Americana-soul songs into the living room for an intimate, seated show on Friday, May 29.  This is a rare chance to be just a few feet away from a powerhouse vocalist and guitarist whose music is built for deep listening, quiet goosebump moments, and big, room-filling choruses.

Whitney built her career busking at Pike Place Market before becoming a staple of the Seattle scene, honing a bluesy, percussive guitar style and smoky, soulful voice that draw comparisons to Tracy Chapman and Richie Havens.  Her catalog includes three self-released EPs (Steadfast, Stone, Carry On) and a live album with the Seattle Symphony, blending roots, rock, and soul into songs that give voice to the marginalized and lean into vulnerable, story-driven lyrics.  In recent years she’s expanded her touring and mentoring work from the Pacific Northwest to the South, continuing to champion independent artistry and emotionally honest songwriting.
